Palak Paneer, one of the most popular North Indian dish that goes well with roti, naan or rice. Paneer can be substituted with tofu as well. Palak Paneer is basically soft paneer cubes cooked in a smooth spinach curry. This recipe is very easy to cook and can be made for dinner parties as well.
Ingredients of Palak Paneer
500 Gram Palak, boiled
1/2 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Oil
15- 16 Pieces Paneer Cubes
1 Bay Leaf
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Garlic
1 Cup Boiled Onion Paste
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Cup Tomato Puree
2 Nos Crushed Black Cardamom
1 Tbsp Cream
How to Make Palak Paneer
1.In a pressure cooker, boil palak in water.
2.Grind it to make a palak puree.
3.Put oil in a pan and fry paneer cubes in it until golden brown.
4.Remove paneer and in the same oil add bay leaf and cumin seeds.
5.When it crackles add ginger, garlic and onion paste. Cook until it gets pinkish- brown color.
6.Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix it well.
7.Add tomato puree and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
8.Pour the palak puree on it and mix thoroughly, adding black cardamoms and peppercorns.
9.Add paneer and pour some cream over it. Mix well and cook for a minute.
10.Serve hot with some more garnishing of cream.
