Ingredients of Lahori Kadhai Chicken
- 500 gms chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chillies, sliced
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp jeera
- 1 tsp haldi
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 cup yoghurt
- Salt, to taste
- Coriander leaves, for garnish

Start by heating oil in a kadhai. Add jeera and allow it to splutter. Add chopped onions and saute until they become golden brown in colour.
Now, add the ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, and green chillies. Cook until the tomatoes become soft.
Once the oil separates from the tomatoes, add red chilli powder, haldi, salt, and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Next, add in the chicken pieces and coat them well with the masalas. Cook on high heat until partially cooked. Reduce the heat and add the yoghurt.
Give it a nice mix and simmer on low heat until the chicken is fully cooked. Once done, sprinkle kasuri methi and garam masala. Garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot!
