How to make panki

As adorable as the name panki sounds, this food item is oh so yummy and easy to make. A panki can simply be described as a rice batter steamed in banana leaves.

Ingredients of Panki

  • 1/2 Cup Dahi
  • 2 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/4 tbsp Heeng
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 2-3 Chopped green chilli
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • A few banana leaves
  • Salt according to taste

How to Make Panki

In a bowl add rice flour, curd and some water to form a smooth paste.

Then add all the other ingredients in this bowl.

Open up a banana leaf from one side and grease it properly.
4.
Add your batter into it and bake it on a pan on medium to low heat.
5.
Once golden brown, plate your panki and enjoy!

Key Ingredients: Dahi , Rice Flour, Heeng, Cumin seeds, Garlic, Chopped green chilli , Turmeric powder, A few banana leaves , Salt according to taste
