Ingredients of Rice Rotla

  • 1 Cup rice
  • 1/2 cup atta
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1-2 tsp curd
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coriander leaves, chopped
  • Oil, for cooking

How to Make Rice Rotla

To begin with, add the rice to a bowl. Add atta, chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, curd, red chilli powder, chaat masala, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

Shape the mixture into a dough as you normally would. If you feel the rice grains are too long, you can even mash them a little before you mix them with the rest of the ingredients. But we suggest you use them as they are for a crunchier bite.

Now, take a small portion of the dough and roll it out evenly using a rolling pin.

Heat a tawa set on a low-medium flame. Apply some oil over it and place the prepared rotla on it.
5.
Cook until golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook the other side, and your rice rotla is ready to be relished.
