Stuffed Apples Recipe
Apples stuffed with khoya and coconut. Soaked in a kewra and kesar sauce, wrapped in foil and baked till cooked. Served hot with chilled cream or phirni.

Ingredients of Stuffed Apples
- 4 small even sized apples peeled and cored
- 100 gm khoya
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp raisins
- 2 Tbsp fresh grated coconut
- 1 Tbsp pistachio nut paste
- 1/2 tsp saffron strands
- 1 Tbsp warm water
- 4 Tbsp sugar syrup
- Few drops of Kewra

Set each apple on a large square of foil.
Fill the apples with the khoya filling.
Soak saffron strands in warm water for 15 minutes. Pound before adding to sugar syrup with kewra.
Spoon syrup over each apple and wrap foil around the fruit.
Bake at 180 degree C for about 30 minutes or until tender.
Serve hot with chilled cream or phirni.
To prepare the filling:
Melt khoya till lightly brown.
Add sugar and continue cooking for two to three minutes before adding coconut, spice and nut paste.
Cool and fill the apples.
