Ingredients of Tangy Tamarind Prawn Curry

  • 10 Deveined prawns
  • 2 tbsp tamarind sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic
  • 1 Green chilli, chopped
  • 1-2 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger, chopped
  • Freshly chopped coriander
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Haldi
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • To taste Salt
  • 3-5 tsp oil

How to Make Tangy Tamarind Prawn Curry

De-vein the prawns. In a bowl put the prawns and add turmeric. Mix it well.

In a hot pan add oil and red chilli powder. Put the prawns and cook them for 10 minutes till the prawns change colour.

Keep them aside once cooked. In the same pan pour oil, and the chopped ginger, garlic, chilis, onion, and tomato. Further, add the spices.

Make a thick gravy and add the tamarind paste. Let it cook for 10 minutes and add the cooked prawns.
5.
Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve with hot rice.
