We all have seen numerous restaurants and chains come and go but some stay put just because of their unmatched food and heartwarming hospitality. Barbeque Nation's standing has never dwindled and we all know why. Having visited many of their outlets in Delhi and other cities, I went to their newly-opened eatery in Paschim Vihar, and was pleasantly surprised to experience the same old heavenly gastronomic journey as I have before and loved.
Starters:
Barbeque Nation is the frontrunner when it comes to grills and it still stands its ground firmly. And the fact that the grills stay warm in your own personal tandoor on your table makes it worth the while. I tried Cajun Chicken Kebab and Chicken Seekh Kebab, both of which were great. But Mustard Garlic Fish and Cheese Chilli Garlic Prawns were out of the world. Soft, succulent and pinging with flavours is how I would describe these. Crispy Corn is also a good option to kick-start your meal.
Live Counter:
But if your palate still prefers the desi Indian chaats, they have that too. Their Pani Puri and Palak Chaat are must-tries. However, I felt, Kerala-style Fish could do a little better with more flavours.
Mains:
Even though my stomach was almost full, my appetite wasn't. I headed to their lunch buffet and was welcomed with a range of Veg and Non-Veg options to choose from. If you are a hardcore non-vegetarian, you'll love Dum Ka Murgh, Rajasthani Lal Maas and Kerala-Style Fish Curry. Vegetarians must not leave Pindi Chole - it is simply superb. Dal Ka Dum and Paneer Makhanwala are not bad either. I paired the dishes with Chicken Dum Biryani and that was good too. All in all, it was a fantastic main meal for me.
Desserts:
Red Velvet Pasty was average but Angoori Gulab Jamun will melt your heart with its rich and deep flavours. Their Phirni is also great.
If you are super hungry and nothing but excellent food will satiate you, simply head to Barbeque Nation for a grand meal.
