Biscuit Gateau

A simple and uncomplicated dessert. Biscuits, strawberry puree and cream layered together to make this delightful gateau.


  • 100 gm arrowroot biscuits (any biscuits/cookies of your choice)
  • 2.5 cups cream, chilled-whip with sugar and essence
  • 2 Tbsp sugar-powdered
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup strawberries - cut up
  • 1/4 cup sugar - pureed with strawberries
  • 1/4 cup walnuts - chopped fine
  • A serving dish about 8 inch round


  1. Arrange biscuits in a layer, and spread half of the strawberry puree over it.
  2. Sprinkle some nuts over this and half the cream.
  3. Spread another layer of the biscuits and repeat the rest.
  4. Decorate on top, chill for 4-5 hours and serve.
