  • Chicken marinated in whole peppercorns and other spices, grilled or baked perfect, served with a dash of lemon.


  • Oven Temp: 450 F-220 C
  • 4 chicken, drumsticks         
  • 1/4 cup (50 gm) dahi (yogurt)               
  • 1 Tbsp maida (refined flour)           
  • 1/4 tsp ginger paste               
  • 1/4 tsp garlic paste             
  • 1 tsp or to taste salt                   
  • 4 Tbsp green peppercorns (crushed) mixed with 1 Tbsp vinegar  OR  2 Tbsp sabut kali mirch (black peppercorns), crushed
  • Oil to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • Hara dhania (coriander leaves)
  • Lemon wedges to garnish


  1. Pierce the chicken and marinate in the dahi, maida, ginger, garlic, salt, and peppercorns for 4-5 hours.
  2. About 20 minutes before serving, bake the chicken pieces over a drip tray, in a pre-heated oven, or grill in a barbeque, basting once half way through, for 15-20 minutes or untill tender.
  3. Serve garnished with the hara dhania and lemon juice.
