How To Make Garlic Powder At Home I Simple Steps To Make Garlic Powder:
1. Buy Good Garlic
To make garlic powder, you need to buy fresh garlic in bulk from any nearby store. While buying, make sure you check that the garlic is not rotten. Buy garlic in good condition and the ones with big cloves. If you buy small garlic cloves, it will be more challenging to peel them.
2. Peel Garlic
Next step is to peel the cloves of garlic. You can do this step by using your hands or by putting the garlic buds in a container. Shake the container till the garlic buds separate from the peels. Now keep the garlic buds aside and throw away the peels.
3. Slice Them Up
Wash the garlic and let them naturally dry in the room temperature. Once they are completely dry, chop them into thin slices. Remember if you keep broad garlic slices or buds, they will not dehydrate properly. Place the garlic slices in a tray, make sure you leave some gap between each slice.
4. Sun Dry Or Bake Them
The best way to dry garlic is by naturally sun drying them. Keep the tray with garlic slices out in the sunlight and cover it with a thin cloth to protect it from dust. Let it be there for 7-8 days, meanwhile keep checking if they have completely dried. Turn the slices after 4 days. Keep them inside on rainy days, because we don't want to wet them. Another way is to bake the garlic in oven till they have fully dried. This method is faster than sun drying method.
