The Uttar Pradesh Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) raided a Mother Dairy booth in Sahibabad area and confiscated pouches of ghee (clarified butter). A FDA team raided the Mother Dairy booth in Rajendra Nagar after complaint by locals and seized samples on which batch numbers and date of manufacturing and expiry were not printed, sources said.(Delhi Food Department Lifts Food Samples for Tests)Senior FDA department official Vineet Kumar said that a complaint was received from a consumer stating that he noticed a strong foul smell emanating from the contents of the pouch of ghee when he opened it. The seized samples will be sent to Lucknow FDA laboratory for testing, he noted also adding that action will be taken soon after the reports come out.
