PhotoCredit:istockAfter launching its recently popular 5-in-1 meal box, which provides a complete meal at an affordable price, KFC has tied up with a digital agency, Blink Digital to add a new gadgety feature to its box called 'watt a box'. which is specially designed to hold a power bank in a concealed compartment below the meal box, with an outlet on one side that comes with a USB wire.
The built-in power bank box which lets you charge your smartphone comes in limited edition and will be gifted to select customers at certain KFC locations in Mumbai and Delhi, though KFC India's website warns that the offer is not valid in airport outposts. The brand has also initiated an online contest to market these boxes which allows people to tag their friends whose phone is always out of charge and help them win a 'Watt a Box'.Along with KFC many other fast food chains have collaborated with technology to bring in new fresh twist to their products in the past. For instance, Pizza Hut introduced a specially-designed Pizza boxes that could be converted to projectors and McDonald's partnering with Rovio and Sony to create 360-degree videos which came about with the recent angry bird movie.
