Our very own Bollywood binge queen Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who is also a fitness inspiration to millions of her followers, is back with some Monday motivation for us with her latest Sunday binge video. The diva, who has been an avid advocate of yoga as a way to keep fit, would never miss her workout regime for anything in the world. No wonder, the mother of one has an infectious energy and a physique that can give any new Bollywood actor a run for their money. Yet she is a self-confessed foodie and makes sure to try food speciality of every place she visits for work or leisure.
Shilpa's Sunday binge videos are a rage amongst her fans where she posts one video every week of herself indulging in sinful and delicious treats. Currently shooting in Lucknow for her upcoming movie 'Nikamma', there's absolutely no way Shilpa would miss out on the popular food of the city of Nawabs. Lucknow is known for its iconic kebabs, decadent mithais and lip-smacking street foods that even our stars can't resist. So while Shilpa was there, she made sure to make her Sunday an indulgent one by sampling the decadent makkhan malai with a plate full of jalebis. And we just couldn't help but drool over how delicious the jalebis and matki full of makkhan malai looked!

Shilpa posted a video on Instagram of her enjoying the heavenly dessert. She captioned the video, "Sunday Binge the Nawabi way.. Shooting in Lucknow hence decided to try the famous #makkhanmalai, it's so light and airy not too sweet or heavy at all and what a lethal combination with hot crispy #jalebi. In #foodcoma now! #sundaybinge #today #Yoga #tomorrow #lucknowdiaries #shootlife #bingeday #guiltfree #foodporn #dessert #famous #happiness #foodie #sweettooth." In the video Shilpa is seen scooping out a ladleful of makkhan malai, while singing a popular song with the same name. Makkhan malai, also known as Nimish, is a rich sweet treat from northern India, especially Lucknow and Kanpur, made during the winter season from milk cream.
The combination of makkhan malai with jalebi has a separate fan base in India due to its creamy texture and rich flavour which can instantly slip you into 'food coma'. While enjoying the delicious treat, Shilpa reminded her followers that how she practices Yoga to be able to enjoy such a cheat meal in a week; and if you want to enjoy such a treat, everyone must practice yoga too. She finishes off by saying "Swasth Raho Mast Raho, Sunday Binge Karte Raho, Isiko Kehte Hai Life."
We are pretty inspired by Shilpa Shetty's advice. On our way to get some jalebis right away; how about you?
