Mexican food is easy to adopt by Indians as spice is the common point of both the cuisines. Mexican food relies on the freshness of raw foods, which are combined in an artistic way to exude a burst of varied flavours. Of late, Mexican foods have made way to our diet as we are relishing the similar spiciness in those foods as we are used to. Taco is one Mexican food that has garnered attention in our country and found a place in our dietary choices. Taco is a corn or wheat tortilla that encloses a filling of vegetables, spices and herbs. The dish can be made in a variety of ways by making any kind of filling to suit individual preferences.
Tacos are made in a different way in India to suit our palate. They are prepared using vegetables and spices our taste buds are accustomed to. They can be filled with a bouquet of flavourful vegetables or with chewy meats like chicken, mutton or pork. Here, we retain the essence of the dish but add in a twist to match our preferences.
The recipe shows how to make taco samosa, representing a mingling of the two cuisines. Samosas are our all-time favourite food. This westernised samosa will break the monotony as it can be served as a unique appetiser or evening snack.
