Food has always been an integral part of our culture and since it doesn't get more Indian than binging on food, restaurants all over the country have geared up to honour 69 glorious years of Independence with much patriotic fervour. So don't use this holiday as an excuse to laze in bed with a TV remote in hand, instead give your taste buds a patriotic spin and celebrate freedom with food.

1. Yum Yum Tree
Enjoy your 'freedom to eat' at Yum Yum Tree's Independence Day Brunch with scrumptious treats on offer like their Tricolored Mini Banoffee Pie and of course, some delectable dimsums.

Cedric Houze, executive chef at L'Opera spills "We'll be launching an Independence Day Tricolour Cake made with litchi, blood orange mousse and coconut. The cake has three colors of the Indian flag in its design." We also highly recommend their mouth-watering macarons.
