Dr. Kamath is the head of the cardiology department at KMC Hospital in Mangalore. In the post, he talks about one of his patients who gifted him a box of dry fruits during Ugadi (Telegu New Year).

According to the post, Dr. Kamath had been treating this patient for almost a decade. However, despite this long association, he had never taken any consultation fees from her, considering her low salary. It was the woman's last day at the bank where she worked as a helper when she presented the box of dry fruits as a token of gratitude for all the doctor's help.

Dr. Kamath shared a picture of the dry fruit box and wrote, "Yesterday, after I had finished seeing all my patients, someone came into my clinic. She has been my patient for more than a decade and works as a helper in a bank. Knowing fully well her salary, I had never charged her for any consultations. She presented me with this jar of dry fruits and conveyed her Ugadi wishes, saying that she had not come as a patient. Today is her last day at the bank, and she is grateful for all my help."
