We all are aware of the term - "The Korean Wave". It refers to the increasing global popularity of South Korean culture. India too is swayed by K-pop music, K-drama, Korean food and more. Today, you will find Korean restaurants in almost every city. Then we have internet loaded with videos demonstrating how to make kimchi, kimbap, tteokbokki etc at home. One such video recently grabbed our attention and we got very impressed by it. A Korean Chef named Kim Jiyeol, who currently resides and works in New Delhi, shared the video. But what makes it yet more interesting is the fact that Chef Jiyeol narrates the whole cooking process in Hindi. You heard us.
Take a look:
In this particular video, he teaches us how to make spring onion kimchi. "Main ajj hara pyaaz kimchi banana ja raha hu (Today, I am going to make spring onion kimchi)," the video starts with him narrating in the background. He further went on to explain the whole process in proper Hindi. Like us, the video impressed several other desi Instagram users, garnering more than 66k views and thousands of comments. "Just want to really appreciate all the videos you do and also so much effort you put in speaking in Hindi to reach a bigger audience! Thank you and kudos to you!" read a comment. "Cuteeee and awesomeee," read another comment.
That's not all. We further went on to scroll through his profile and found that Chef Jiyeol has shared multiple other recipes and demonstrated them in Hindi.
