If there is one ingredient that is loved all around the world, it is cheese. In India, paneer (cottage cheese) is a kind of fresh cheese that is used extensively in many dishes. Whether you use it to make snacks, curries, salads or sandwiches, it makes for a delicious and healthy addition to all of them. Not only this, but paneer is also extremely versatile and adds a rich and creamy texture to the food. While paneer is certainly a popular ingredient in Indian cuisine, it has gained popularity in other parts of the world too. Recently, the popular food guide Taste Atlas released a list of the world's best cheese dishes in the world. And of course, Indian paneer recipes featured prominently in the list! There were seven different recipes in the top 50 list. Take a look:

"These are the 50 best-rated cheese dishes in the world! What's your favourite?" Taste Atlas wrote in the caption of the post. Raclette took the top spot, followed by Greece's Saganaki. In third place was none other than Shahi Paneer, which interestingly had the same rating as the other runners-up on the list, 4.7. The list featured several well-known Indian paneer dishes, with Paneer Tikka taking fourth place and sharing the same rating of 4.7. Matar Paneer came in at number 24 with a rating of 4.4, while Palak Paneer and Saag Paneer shared the same rating of 4.3 and placed 30th and 31st, respectively. Paneer Makhani also made the coveted list, taking the 48th position with a rating of 4.1.
This is not the only list that Taste Atlas has come up with. Recently, they also shared a list of the top 50 pizzas in the world, in which Margherita topped the list. You can read more about it here. Previously, the rating website also shared the global list of best cuisines in the world. India ranked fifth on the global list of the best cuisines for the year 2022. The country received an overall 4.54 points (stars) out of five. Take a look:
