Manish Malhotra's parties are always a star-studded affair, laced with extravaganza and lip-smacking food. The designer hosted a fun bash at his residence recently. And the guest list included the Kapoor sisters — Kareena and Karisma, along with Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and Natasha Poonawalla. From the pictures doing the rounds on the celebs' Insta stories, there remains no doubt that the girl gang had a blast at the designer's place. Manish Malhotra, as a host, treated his guests to the perfect homemade Indian Thali. And the guests could not stop gushing over the meal.
Malaika Arora took to her Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of the thali and wrote, "too yumm”. It displayed some desi items like a bowl of rice, dal makhani, jeera aloo, a carrot and pea sabzi, bhindi fries, paneer, green saag, and raita. A salad bowl was also kept in the middle. But that was not the end of the culinary marvels. Coupled with these vegetarian dishes there was also delicious chicken curry. The pudina chutney was presumably to be enjoyed with the crispy and golden-brown paranthas.

For this no-onion and tomato recipe, you need to fry paneer chunks in a pan, heated with mustard oil. Green and black cardamom, cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaves, and green chillies must be stirred with an additional pour of spices and water. Drop the paneer chunks, 1 cup of milk, and saffron, and cook the items well. Check out the recipe here.
Dal Makhani
This Punjabi staple is loved by many in India. Preparing it is easy. All you need to do is add water, salt, and ginger to the dal. After heating butter and oil in a pan, sprinkle some kasoori methi, shahi jeera, tomato puree, sugar, and chilli powder. Stir fry the items, leave for simmering and you are done. Here's how you can make it.
Sarso Ka Saag
Another Punjab wonder, Saro Ka Saag can be enjoyed with makki ki roti. Cook saag, water, and salt in a pressure cooker. After squeezing out the saag add ginger with green chilies, till it gets thick. Chopped onions and garam masala can be included to enhance the taste. Read the recipe here.
