If you follow actor Neha Dhupia on Instagram, you must be aware that she is not only a fitness enthusiast and style icon, but a big-time foodie as well. The actress frequently posts photos of food, snacks, and even dry fruits on her Instagram Stories, besides those wonderful snaps with husband Angad Bedi and daughter Mehr. On Monday, Neha posted a photograph of an elaborate lunch served on a banana leaf, which was nothing short of a feast. She captioned the post, “It's lunch time," and went on to add the word “yummy”.
The feast on Neha's Instagram Stories is called Sadya - a traditional platter in Kerala cuisine - which consists of a wide array of traditional vegetarian dishes. The word sadya means banquet in Malayalam. Besides being a traditional dish for Onam, sadya is also served as lunch at weddings in Kerala.
As per the photograph, the sadya platter that Neha shared included aviyal, beans thoran, sambar, kichadi, pachadi, kootukari, rasam, moorukari and some banana chips. Mouth-watering, isn't it? In her Stories, Neha tagged chef Marina Balakrishnan, who then reshared it on her handle.
