Since then, praised started pouring in for Virat and the Indian cricket team through social media posts, personal messages and more. In fact, every person in the country celebrated the nail-biting win in their unique ways. Some partied hard, while others expressed their happiness on social media. And then there were some brands who offered extra discounts to the customers to mark the win. Take food-tech giant Swiggy, for instance. The food delivery brand rolled out some special discounts on every order, which customers could avail using a given coupon.
While rolling out coupons and special discounts have always been a part of Swiggy's marketing strategy, but what fascinated us this time was the unique code on the coupon. It read, "KINGKOHLI82" - here 82 stands for the runs Virat Kohli made. In no time, the code grabbed attention of several customers, who started hailing it on social media as "super marketing". It all started when a Twitter user named Sohini M. (@Mittermaniac) shared a post on the micro-blogging site, featuring a screenshot of the Swiggy coupon. "Well done, @Swiggy This is superb moment marketing!" her post further read. Take a look:

Since uploaded, the image took social media by storm, with people reacting to the post with likes and comments. "Full marks to the idea and the execution," a comment read. "This is a good moment marketing," wrote another person.
However, one person complained, saying that he was unable to avail the code - to which, Swiggy promptly replied, "Hey Saurabh, we understand you are disappointed with the coupon. We hate to break this to you that the coupon has expired as it was available for limited number of customers on the basis of first come first serve."
