Twitter user @_zing_bae shared a reaction video to the bizarre recipe that went viral, garnering over 5.8 million views and 160k likes.
In the clip of the fried chicken, Paula Patton demonstrated her 4-step process. She first cleaned up the chicken and coated it with flour. Then, she heated up some Avocado oil and put the chicken in it right away. Once the chicken was in the pan being fried, Paula added the seasoning including salt, pepper and paprika. She then flipped the chicken over and sprinkled the seasoning on the other side as well.
Twitter users were in shock after seeing the weird fried chicken recipe by Paula Patton. Many of them were divided about how seasoning was added during the frying process rather than before. People said that the spices would slide off the fried chicken, thus making the whole process redundant. A few said that there was nothing wrong with the recipe and it would actually turn out delicious.
