Ingredients of Apple And Cinnamon Crumble Bars

  • For the base:
  • 125 gms butter
  • 125 gms powdered brown sugar
  • 2 Egg
  • 225 gms whole wheat flour
  • For filling:
  • 300 gms apple
  • 2 gram cinnamon powder
  • For crumble:
  • 125 gms brown sugar
  • 100 gms flour
  • 5 gram cinnamon powder
  • 65 gms dessicated coconut

How to Make Apple And Cinnamon Crumble Bars

  • Prepare the base:
  • 1.In a mixing bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Continue creaming until the mixture gets smooth and sloppy texture.
  • 2.Now add eggs one by one. Continue creaming and avoid curdling of mixture.
  • 3.Now add flour and fold it properly. Remove the mixture from the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • Prepare the filling:
  • 1.Grate apple and mix cinnamon powder.
  • Prepare the crumble:
  • 1.Mix all the ingredients together. Mix it with soft hands and avoid melting of butter.
  • Assembling:
  • 1.Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Over it spread evenly the base mixture and press gently to form base.
  • 2.Over the base spread grated apples and keep it aside.
  • 3.Spread the crumble mixture over grated apple layer and bake it at 165*c for about 30 minutes.
  • 4.Remove from the oven and allow it to cool. Divide it in to equal servings.
