Ingredients of Apple Sauce

  • 1 kg apples - peeled, cored, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (dalchini)

How to Make Apple Sauce

  • 1.Put peeled and chopped apples in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, with the water.
  • 2.Cover and cook over low heat till some of the juices are drawn, and the bottom becomes liquidy.
  • 3.Remove lid and let any excess liquid dry up, taking care not to let the apples burn.
  • 4.Mash them a bit to make them pulpy.
  • 5.Apples can also be stewed in a pressure cooker.
  • 6.Add the sugar and cinnamon and cook a little more.
