How to make Coriander Mutton Fry

As the name suggests, this recipe is made from the flavourful coriander paste that is added to the mutton curry. The paste is made by grinding a whole bunch of coriander leaves, coconut and green chillies.

Ingredients of Coriander Mutton Fry

  • 500 gms Mutton
  • 4 Onions Paste
  • 200 gram Coriander Leaves
  • 500 gram Dessicated Coconut
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli
  • 3-4 Peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • For tempering:
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 8-10 Curry leaves

How to Make Coriander Mutton Fry

Grind whole spices. Marinate mutton in all the spice powders, salt, lemon juice. Marinate for 2 hours.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, roast mutton along with spice coating. Add some water and cook.
3.
Make a paste of coriander leaves, green chillies and coconut. Add to the chicken and cook for some more time.
4.
Top with the tempering of curry leaves and mustard seeds.
5.
Serve and enjoy!
