Rice balls steamed, cooked and served with your favorite tomato chutney. This innovative goli idli recipe is so easy to make and requires just a few ingredients.

Ingredients of Goli Idli

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 and a half tsp Chana dal
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 Dried red chilli
  • 3-4 Curry leaves
  • chopped chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger paste

How to Make Goli Idli

  • 1.Boil water in a pan, add salt and ghee. Now, add rice flour, and let the water completely soak in.
  • 2.Let it cool down a little and then make soft dough. Add hot water if required.
  • 3.Make small balls out of the dough and steam them for 10-15 minutes.
  • 4.Heat oil in another pan, add urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, green chilli, curry leaves, sesame seeds and ginger. Let them splutter for 2-3 minutes.
  • 5.Add idli and mix it well with the mixture.
  • 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!
