Ingredients of Khatti Meethi Dal
- 1 Cup Yellow lentils
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 2 tsp Pav bhaji masala
- 20 gram Tamarind pulp
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 7-8 Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
How to Make Khatti Meethi DalHideShow Media
Cook the dal along with turmeric, salt and sugar to a thin, smooth, pouring consistency.
Add chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, tamarind pulp and simmer, till well blended.
For the Tadka:
Heat the oil, add the mustard seeds and the curry leaves.
When the seeds begin to splutter, add the dal mixture and bring to a boil, then simmer for about a minute.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
