Ingredients of Lauki Idli

  • 1 cup Sooji
  • 1 cup Grated lauki
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 Red chilli
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt

How to Make Lauki Idli

Heat oil in kadhai, saute mustard seeds, urad dal curry leaves and red chilli. Add sooji and roast for 5 minutes.

Remove from flame and let it cool down. Add water and yoghurt to the roasted sooji. Combine it well and set aside for 20 minutes.

Add grated lauki and chopped coriander leaves to the sooji and mix. Add salt.
4.
Pour the batter in the idli and steam it for 15 minutes.
5.
The lauki idlis are ready!
