Ingredients of Paneer Makhani Pizza

  • 2 Pizza Base (Medium Size)
  • For Makhani Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp Ghee/Oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger powder
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Finely chopped
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Crushed kasoori methi
  • to taste Red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cream
  • to taste Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • For Marination:
  • 150-200 gram Paneer cubes
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kasoori Methi
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • For The Pizza:
  • 1 small Diced Onion
  • 1 small Capsicum, Sliced
  • Grated mozzarella cheese

How to Make Paneer Makhani Pizza

For Makhani (Buttery) Spread

You first need to prepare the makhani gravy. For that, heat oil/ghee in a pan, add the cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and sauté till cumin seeds sizzle, careful not to burn the whole spices, just roast them.

Now, add the garlic chunks and sauté for a few seconds. Once done, add in the onions, and cook for 5 minutes or till translucent.

Add the turmeric powder and red chili powder and mix everything well.

Now is the time to add the tomato puree. Cook on low for 10 minutes, till the oil separates.

Add the cream, sugar (optional) and ginger powder. Bring to a simmer. Cook for another 5-10 minutes. Add garam masala and kasoori methi. Remove from flame. Let it cool for a few minutes and then puree to it.

For The Paneer Marination

Take a large bowl, add the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, oil, red chili powder, kasoori methi, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder and mix it well. Mix until a smooth paste.

Add the paneer cubes and marinate the paneer with the mixture. Keep for 15 minutes. Broil in the oven for 8-10 minutes.

How To Assemble

1.
Preheat oven to the maximum temperature your oven allows. Transfer the pizza base to a square piece of parchment paper.
2.
Butter or oil the top a bit, and then spread the makhani sauce.
3.
Add the broiled paneer, onion rings and bell peppers. Top with grated cheese (as much as you want). Add a dollop of butter/olive oil on top of it.
4.
Wait and enjoy!
