About Tandoori Murgh Recipe: Straight from the tandoor on to your plate, a must try for all meat lovers! Pieces of chicken marinated in a mix of tandoori masala, yogurt, ginger paste and grilled on a tandoor.

Ingredients of Tandoori Murgh

  • 1 Kg chicken (broiler, cut into pieces)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup hung yogurt
  • Few drops of red color
  • For garnishing:
  • 1 lemon (quartered)
  • 1 onion , sliced

How to Make Tandoori Murgh

  • 1.Pierce the chicken with a fork all over
  • 2.Mix in the rest of the ingredients except lemon and onions.
  • 3.Leave to marinate for 3-4 hours.
  • 4.Now place a saucer like plate upright in a dish or a microwave rack
  • 5.Arrange the chicken pieces in it placing the thicker pieces outwards.
  • 6.Cover and cook on high heat for 5 minutes.
  • 7.Rearrange the pieces and cook covered at 70% for 5 minutes.
  • 8.Uncover and cook further on high for 5 minutes.
  • 9.Let it stand for 2 minutes before serving.
  • 10.Garnish with lemon quarters and onion rings
  • 11.Serve hot.
  • 12.Note:Cooked without oil but you could brush it with some before the last turning.
