Ingredients of UP-Style Lapsi

  • 1 Cup broken wheat/dalia
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 cardamoms, crushed
  • 1 tbsp cashew nuts, broken
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • Jaggery, as per taste

How to Make UP-Style Lapsi

Heat ghee in a kadhai and add dalia to it. Roast for around 2-3 minutes until it turns golden brown in colour.

Transfer to a bowl and let it cool.

Now, add jaggery and water to the pan and cook until you get a runny syrup.

To it, add crushed cardamom or cardamom powder and boil.

Now, slowly add the dalia to it and mix well.

Add half of the desiccated coconut and mix everything well.

Cook it on low flame for around 20 minutes until you find the lapsi releasing ghee.
8.
When you get the desired texture, turn off the flame and transfer to a bowl.
9.
Garnish with nuts and serve hot.
