Ingredients of Uttaranchali Meat Curry
- For the chutney:
- 1 tsp garlic-chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt, according to taste
- Red chilli powder, according to taste
- For the main preparation:
- 1/2 kg meat-cut into desired size
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 3 Tbsp onions, chopped
- 3 Tbsp of the prepared chutney
- 2 Tbsp tomatoes, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup water

For the chutney:
Grind the garlic, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder together.
For the main preparation:
In a pan heat oil and add onions and saute till translucent.
Then add the prepared chutney and mix well.
To this add the tomatoes and stir till they cook.
Then add the meat and water and mix well.
Cover the pan and seal it with atta from all four sides and let it cook for half an hour on low flame.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
