Ahuja, of Fortis Hospital, New Delhi says that due to its high magnesium content, jaggery (gur) helps boost your intestinal strength, making you less prone to have acid refluxes and other digestive problems.
3. Cold Milk:
For those who can, drinking a glass of chilled milk works great for acidity problems. In fact, Nutritionist Anshul Jaibharat says that the next time you suffer from acidity all you need to do is drink a tall glass of chilled milk and wait for the relief to kick in.
4. Yogurt:
Another diary product that is considered great for acidity is yogurt. Rupalli Dutta, a clinical nutritionist says 'Yogurt is another way of controlling acidity. In addition to the calcium, it also is a natural probiotic that provides for a healthier gut and better digestion'. 5. Coconut Water:
Coconut water is anyway considered a great cooler for summers but did you know that it can help you a good deal with acidity as well? Dr. Ahuja, From Fortis Hospital Delhi, says - "When you drink coconut water, your body's pH acidic level turns alkaline", meaning it will reduce the acid refluxes with ease
