It's the one time those mobile shooters are always whipped out of your pockets. Most Instagram fiends and 'dessertarians' will agree that desserts probably look best on camera and your social feed. It's the same in Chennai where most establishments have upped their dessert presentation game. Whether it's a dessert studio or a luxury hotel or a cafe where you can lounge, desserts are the stars of your social media timelines. Whether it's the riot of colours that play out well in images shot on food or portrait mode on your mobile shooters or videos of sundaes or desserts being assembled, F&B hotspots in Chennai are pandering to those 'dessertlover' hashtags. We pick some of Chennai's most popular desserts that are great for the 'gram'.
Here Are 8 Instagram-Ready Desserts Straight from Chennai:
1. Yuzu lemon Basque cheesecake at 601, The Park Chennai
601, the all-day diner at The Park Chennai keeps refreshing its a la carte menu. The yuzu lemon Basque cheesecake is one of the stars of the new menu. It's embellished with charred milk crumble and whiskey meringue. 2. Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake at Sandy's Kitchen and Chocolate Laboratory
Lotus Biscoff has been trending at Chennai's dessert spots for a while now. Sandy's creative use of this legendary biscuit is one of the picks at their RA Puram outlet that offers a casual vibe and al-fresco seating. This one tastes as good as it looks with the perfect textures. You can also check out their chocolate desserts and thick shakes while you are here.

3. Croissant pinwheel at The Entrance Cafe
Chennai boasts of one the most vibrant cafe cultures in India. Entrance Cafe is one of the city's newest and is located in the heart of the city in the Kilpauk neighbourhood. First, it was the Croissant Cube - a clever twist on a croissant, that got a lot of traction on social media. The cube has evolved into a croissant pinwheel with a flavour shot. We like both the lemon cream and the chocolate sea salt versions.

4. French Toast at Les Amis
If there's one area in Chennai that can hold its own among India's other food capitals, it's gelato or ice creams. Les Amis is one of the best spots in the city for an authentic gelato but we'd also recommend checking out one of their most 'instagrammed' desserts. The Les Amis version of French Toast is made with their house brioche soaked in a custard mix. It's topped with almonds, fruit preserves, whipped cream and fresh berries.

It's one of Chennai's finest dedicated dessert studios and first debuted in the swish Kotturpuram neighbourhood. Delicious offers an eclectic assortment of international desserts and bonbons including the popular Snicker'd, a delicious twist on a classic Snickers bar. Our current favourite is the Praline Noisette Bar. It's built on a moist chocolate cake with a milk chocolate ganache, milk chocolate Chantilly and hazelnut praline.

8. Baked Cheesecake at Mustard
The Mustard journey began in Goa. The Chennai outpost of Mustard was one of the most anticipated resto-bar launches of the year with its unique blend of French and Bengali cuisine.
