To make this curry, first marinate the prawns with turmeric powder and salt. Keep them aside for an hour. For the paste, roast together coconut, coriander seeds, red chillies, garlic, and shallots. Once the shallots turn brown in colour, add water and grind to form a smooth paste. Now, heat some coconut oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds. Once they start to splutter, add onions, ginger, and curry leaves. Saute the onions for a few minutes, or until golden brown. Next, add the prepared paste along with water, tamarind pulp, and salt. Add in the marinated prawns and cook well. This will take around 10-15 minutes. After which, temper with coconut oil, mustard seeds, shallots, and dry red chillies.
