Food is no longer just about eating! People have used their creativity and their love for food to create mind-blowing art in the world. The way people are expressing their creativity through art is amazing. But recently, we got to know that even the world of high fashion is taking inspiration from food! Yes, you read it right?! The runways of Paris Fashion week witnessed the collaboration of a big fashion brand and a big food brand and the result was quite surprising!
Balenciaga, the Spanish fashion luxury house, showcased their latest handbags at Paris Fashion Week and guess what? The handbags were packets of Lays chips! Lays, the American potato chips brand has collaborated with Balenciaga to bring a collection of bags that look exactly like a big packet of potato chips. Take a look:
The bag comes in three colours, just like the potato chips come in different flavours. The details of the bag are identical to a packet of chips, so much so that one can mistake it for an actual chips packet. The mouth of the chips packet bag comes with a zip. The creative director of Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia, showcased the chips packet bags on his Instagram account. Even Lays shared images of the bags modelled at Paris Fashion Week. In the images, we saw Balenciaga models walking with the chips packet bags on the runway.
People were amazed to see chip packets turned into handbags on the runway! Here's what people commented about the chips packet bag:
"Can y'all actually fill it to the top with chips? Cause I'm tired. I'll be your biggest supporter"
"This literally just made me open a bag of Lays"
"If someone sees me with a pack of chips in my hands, know this is a handbag!!!"
"Made this in girl scouts using iron-on laminate. Nostalgic."
