As the name suggests, this recipe is made using bread and dahi. Bread cubes are soaked in a curd mix and then sauteed with a mix of dals, curry leaves and veggies. It is super easy to make and is ideal for days when you're running short on time. It is a great alternative for the classic upma recipe. And the best part is that you don't even compromise on the taste. So, without much ado, let's take a look at the recipe.
Bread Dahi Upma Recipe: How To Make Bread Dahi Upma
To begin with the recipe, first, cut the bread slices into small cubes. Now, in a bowl, add curd, salt and water. Mix well. Pour this curd mix over the bread cubes. Mash it nicely using the back of a spoon and let it soak for around 5 minutes.
Next, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal and peanuts. Mix well. Add chopped onion, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger and salt. Now, add water and combine well. Add the soaked bread cubes, chopped tomato and ghee. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Bread dahi upma is ready!
