In a pan, heat oil/butter and add chopped onions and garlic and cook until mushy. Add tomato puree and salt and pepper, and mix well. Add water according to your preference of thickness of the soup. Add all the chopped vegetables and macaroni too. Let this boil until the pasta is cooked. If you want to thicken the soup a little more, add a slurry of cornflour and water, and boil for a couple of minutes. Finally, garnish with any extra seasoning that you would like to add like Italian herbs, oregano, chili flakes, basil, etc. Serve steaming hot.
