New year 2022 has begun and it brings with it a whole new range of possibilities. It also serves as a wakeup call to take action on the things we have been procrastinating since forever, especially our health. We all resolve to eat healthy and take care of our diet with a renewed focus- with the New Year offering a clean slate to start with. Weight loss, in fact, is said to be the most common New Year Resolution that people undertake. Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, is the latest celebrity who is focussing on her health in 2022. She revealed in an Instagram post her weight loss goals for the New Year and how she plans to achieve them. Take a look:
In a series of pictures from her New Year celebrations, Ira Khan wrote about how she motivated herself to kick-start her weight loss journey. "I recently fasted for 15 days to help me kickstart my attempt to lose weight," she wrote in her post. She further explained that she had been very active in life previously. "I've been very active for most of my life and then in the past 4-5 years, I've been very inactive. I've put on 20kgs. And it's been really messing with my head," she said.
The weight loss regime that Ira Khan has started is supposedly the Buchinger Welhelmi Programme at the clinic by the same name in Germany. The fasting method was developed by the clinic's founder Dr. Otto Buchinger, in order to preserve, promote and restore health as per the website. "Besides unlimited amounts of mineral water, guests who are fasting are offered herbal teas, freshly made vegetable consommés and freshly pressed fruit juices - naturally all organic," read the description to the programme.

Ira Khan further added that the fasting didn't help her lose weight but it did give her some motivation to try harder. "I didn't lose a significant amount of weight in numbers - not that I could sustain anyway. But I did find a renewed motivation to try harder. And I found a rhythm. I'm doing everything I can to hold on to it now," she added.
