Actor Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak are all set to embark on a new professional journey with the opening of their restaurant - Jolene by the Sea - in Goa. Amrita's restaurant launch comes soon after her sister Malaika Arora ventured into the world of hospitality with 'Scarlett House', a restaurant nestled in an old vintage bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. Announcing the opening of Jolene in Anjuna, Goa, Amrita shared a post on her Instagram handle with a picture of the couple inside their new "serene haven".
Talking about the restaurant, Amrita shared that it blends the best of Marbella's beach clubs with Saint Tropez chic vibes. In the caption, she added, "Jolene is where Goa's free spirit meets European elegance. Bold, intentional, and comforting to the soul-we present this new sanctuary to you."
With a menu curated by Chef Suvir Saran, Jolene is helmed in collaboration with veteran restaurateurs Gaurav Batra and Ankit Tayal. Talking about the space, Amrita told Vogue India in an interview, "We wanted to bring the outdoors inside." The serene interior has high ceilings, indoor palm trees and rustic, sand-coloured curtains and sofas.
