No matter where you are from in India, there are shared experiences that connect us all. Athiya Shetty, daughter of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, shows that even in her glamorous life, she values familiar flavours that link her to the essence of India. Recently, she visited her paternal hometown of Mulky in Mangalore, sharing the beauty and diverse culinary delights on Instagram. Athiya's journey back home is a reminder that staying connected to one's heritage remains important. In her series of pictures, she shared scenes from her hometown, with a caption that read, "Never forget your roots, and you'll never forget where you're going."

However, what truly captured our attention was the authentic Mangalore thali she relished. The thali featured a diverse array of food items, including rice, roti, pickles, onions, papad, a green chutney, a medley of mixed vegetable sabzi, lentil (daal), a curry dish, and what appeared to be a bowl of pink raita. On the non-vegetarian front, there was a serving of fried pamphlet fish, accompanied by what seemed to be a bowl of some kind of chicken dish.
In another image, the actress was seen inside a car, sharing a selfie while sipping what appeared to be milk tea. She also shared pictures of two baskets filled with coconuts cut in half, showing the abundance of these tropical fruits in Mangalore.
