Another day, another food update from Ayushmann Khurrana. This time, the actor embarked on a Middle Eastern culinary trail. Ayushmann kickstarted his weekend on a sweet note. He posted a picture on his Instagram Stories featuring a scrumptious bowl of dessert. “Guess this Middle Eastern dessert,” he asked his fans. Curious to find out the name? Well, the lip-smacking delicacy is the famous Egyptian bread pudding also known as Umm Ali. The luscious pastry comes with multiple flaky layers. It's soaked in a rich and fragrant custard made from milk, sugar and aromatic spices like cinnamon and cardamom. From the delectable crunch to the melt-in-your-mouth creamy fillings, each bite of Umm Ali offers a symphony of flavours. “I am in love,” confessed Ayushmann in the caption.

Earlier this month, Ayushmann Khurrana relished a traditional Punjabi sweet dish: panjiri. A festive favourite, panjiri is prepared with a mix of nuts, seeds, dry fruits (cashews, almonds, and raisins) and whole wheat flour. Tossed in ghee, the aromatic sweet delight is simply irresistible. On a Sunday, Ayushmann enjoyed homemade panjiri following the recipe of chef Ranveer Brar. He uploaded the photo on his Instagram Stories showcasing a container filled with the golden, crumbly panjiri. The dessert was kept on top of Ranveer Brar's recipe book, A Journey Through India. “Panjeeri and the recipes of [Ranveer Brar]. Thanks, paaji,” read his caption. Click here to read the full story.
