Meet Poulomi Adhikari who is a former professional football player from West Bengal. She has played for India in national and international tournaments, including the 2016 world cup. Even after achieving this great feat, she took up a job as a food delivery agent to make ends meet. A video of Poulomi Adhikari sharing her story was posted on Twitter by user @SanjuktaChoudh5. In the video, we can see Adhikari wearing the signature red Zomato shirt and a backpack. She reveals that she represented India at the U-16 level and has travelled to London, Scotland, Germany, and Sri Lanka among others to play tournaments. She is now completing her education at Charuchandra University and working as a food delivery agent for Zomato and Swiggy, earning around INR 300-400 a day. Towards the end of the video, she even showed off her football-kicking skills. The post has 178.3K views so far and received many comments from empathetic users.
