Chikki is one of the most cherished sweets in North Indian households. But have you ever wondered - what is the preparation process for this snack? An Instagram video has now unveiled the unhygienic face of a chikki-making factory, leaving social media users in dismay. The clip demonstrates the process beginning with a substantial block of peanut and jaggery mixture, which is meticulously sliced into smaller pieces using a blade-like tool. These smaller portions are carelessly scattered onto the floor before being gathered into several rectangular frames. Inside these frames, the mixture is diligently flattened and shaped using a rolling pin until it forms a flat and rectangular chikki. The entire production process takes place on the floor without any precautionary measures.
