We all have our preferences when it comes to enjoying beverages. Some like slushy and fruity drinks or summer coolers while others prefer milkshakes. Then there is a dedicated section of people who love their alcoholic beverages. Gulping down a glass full of your favourite drink offers satisfaction that no amount of lip-smacking food can match. Among the variety of drinks available in the market, there is always that one particular drink which pleases us the most. And, it can be quite irksome if you fail to find your favourite drink and have to reluctantly compromise on the taste. This is what a man in Telangana had to face when he could not grab a Kingfisher beer in his locality and took his grievance to the district collector.

The incident took place in the Jagtial district of Telangana where a youngster named Beeram Rajesh approached a grievance redressal programme called Prajavani with his unusual complaint. He said that liquor shops in his area were selling cheap quality beer which could harm the health of drinkers. Rajesh added that there was a shortage of Kingfisher beer in his district, reported Telangana Today.
In his complaint, Rajesh stressed that the temperature has started to rise and people would want some beer to relax. He said wine shops must sell beer of all kinds but were only keeping locally made beer on the shelf which is sub-standard and harms health. The youngster urged the district collector to pay heed to the issue and solve it, according to News18.
Rajesh wrote to the collector highlighting the unavailability of Kingfisher beer. He said that people were compelled to consume low-quality beer as they could not drink the beer of their choice. He also claimed that many often have to travel long distances to grab their preferred drink which sometimes results in accidents. Further, Rajesh said that the belt shops that have the Kingfisher beer in the district sell it for a higher price, reported The Siasat Daily.
