The very idea of road trips reminds us of comfortable window seats, a gust of cool wind, a special playlist and memories in making. Sounds perfect, right? But a road trip just doesn't seem complete without the necessary stopovers at the dhabas. These roadside pit stops, with bare minimum infrastructure, have a charm of their own, making us fall in love time and again. And what we find to be the best is the food available at these dhabas. From jeera aloo to hot gulab jamun, we get it all here, with a unique flavour of its own. But what remains the most popular choice for all is chai, with 'biskut' (biscuit). Hence, we end up taking multiple breaks during our road trips to enjoy a cup of nukkad-wali chai. It seems to be the same for cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar.
A super-active celebrity on Instagram, Sachin Tendulkar loves sharing slices of his personal life with the 36.6million Insta-fam. From his attempt to make breakfast to celebrating festivals with the family, we find him sharing it all on the photo-sharing app. Keeping up with the tradition, Sachin recently gave us a glimpse of the road trip he took with his son Arjun Tendulkar.
In one of his latest Reels, we saw him taking a break during a road trip, to enjoy a cup of chai with rusk (toast). In the video, he mentions that he is on the Belgaum-Goa highway. He then explains what rusk is and further offers it to his son. The camera then pans to Arjun, who hides behind the door of the car, denying the offer. Further, we saw Sachin thanking the tea-stall owner and clicking a selfie with him. "Road Trip pe chai break toh banta hai! (Chai break is a must during a road trip)," he captions the video. Take a look.
