Ingredients of Barbecued Sausages

  • 6 sausages
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp cracked peppercorns
  • 1/2 Tbsp thyme
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 Tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp mustard sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp orange / sweet lime juice

How to Make Barbecued Sausages

Split the sausages along their length.

Combine the dry spices (oregano, thyme, onion powder, peppercorns and paprika) and fill into the pockets.

Arrange in a baking dish.

Heat the oil in a saucepan. Cook the onion and garlic until soft. Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and fruit juice. Season and pour over the sausages.
5.
Set aside for 1 hour. Bake at 200 degree C for 20 minutes, basting frequently until the sausages are well browned.
6.
Serve hot with grilled tomatoes.
