A quirky combination of bhindi and yogurt, healthy and absolutely delectable. A filling curry served best with rice and chappatis!

Ingredients of Dahi Bhindi

  • 200 gm bhindi
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 Tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tbsp coriander leaves
  • For Seasoning:
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad daal
  • 4-5 curry leaves

How to Make Dahi Bhindi

  • 1.Cut bhindi and onions into thin pieces.
  • 2.Take a kadahi, add oil and onions.
  • 3.When onions turn brown, add bhindi followed by all the spices and salt.
  • 4.Deep fry bhindi.
  • 5.Take a small deep pan, add ghee and mustard followed by urad daal and curry leaves.
  • 6.Mix all and let it cook.
  • 7.Finish off by adding yogurt to it.
  • 8.Garnish with coriander leaves
