About Gujarati Kadhi Recipe: A light and lovely curry made with soothing ingredients like yogurt, gram flour, curry leaves and ginger.

Ingredients of Gujarati Kadhi

  • 2 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Gram flour
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • A pinch of Jaggery
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/2 Cups Water
  • 1 Tbsp Clarified butter
  • 1/4 cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger, chopped
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 Whole red chilly
  • 3 Green chillies, chopped

How to Make Gujarati Kadhi

  • 1.Take a bowl and mix the curd, gram four, asafoetida, jaggery, salt and water. Mix it well using a whisk.

  • 2.Heat a pan and pour in the mixture. Keep stirring till the curry thins out.

  • 3.As the curry thins out, add the seasoning and boil the curry for 5-6 minutes.

  • 4.Serve hot in a bowl.

  • For the seasoning:
  • 1.Heat clarified butter and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, cloves, ginger, green chillies and the red chilly.
