The most popular sweet made during the festive season of Holi, Gujiyas are a sweet dumpling-like sweet made with refined flour and stuffed with Khoya and various other ingredients like coconut and raisins. this one here also has stuffing of Gulkand, chironji and saffron which makes it all the more pleasing. Topped with pista flakes and sugar syrup, these gujiyas are going to be the crowd puller at your Holi party!

Ingredients of Gulkand Gujiya

  • 100 Gram Refined flour
  • 20 Gram Chironji
  • 20 Gram Dessicated coconut
  • 50 Gram Khoya
  • 10 Gram Cardamom powder
  • For frying Gram Ghee
  • 20 Gram Dalda
  • 30 Gram Gulkand
  • 1 Gram Saffron
  • 100 Gram Sugar

How to Make Gulkand Gujiya

  • 1.In kadhai make stuffing with chironji,coconut, mawa, saffron, gulkand and cardamom.
  • 2.Make a dough with flour, dalda and water.
  • 3.Rest the dough for 2 hours.
  • 4.Make round balls and roll it like disc. Make disc in half and fill it with stuffing.Close the corners and give it a gujiya shape.
  • 5.Fry in ghee.
  • 6.Glaze with sugar syrup and garnish with pista flakes.
